Hi, this is George BeckAs a Visual Designer, I create graphic design ads web design, video work, and more for various clients, using my expertise in Adobe Creative Suite. I enjoy working with different styles and formats, and delivering high-quality and engaging visual content that meets the needs and expectations of the customers.
I am currently the Senior Graphic Designer at Standard International Print Group (remote position), where I handle all of the ad work for their three weekly newspapers they cover in Wisconsin. This has allowed me to fully understand design from every industry you can name of. Additionally, I one of the full paper layouts, as well as handling the Pocono newspaper (Pennsylvania) ads and full layout.
I also freelance my creative skills for more than just graphics. Currently and in the past I have made brand identities, website work, video capture and editing, printed collateral for events, multi-paged (50+ Pages) sports programs, video animation, and painted artwork commissions. On top of doing work for companies and individuals, I also maintain my own visual work encompassing graphics, figurines, paintings, and sketches all displayed in bite-sized videos.
Along with my work, I like to stay involved in the local community, lending my skills to a networking group called Wilkes-Barre POWER!, where I aid in handling their social media posts and video productions. As well as helping a Scranton-based nonprofit called The Hexagon Project, where I develop graphic layouts and maintaining their website during seasonal events.
I graduated from King's College in May 2023 with a B.A. in Mass Communications focused in Visual Design, where I learned the fundamentals and principles of graphic design. I acquired two internships during my time in college. Working with LSEO Digital Marketing, I was exposed to real world situations working with clients in a timely matter and producing quality graphic design and video work. I also gained valuable experience as a Video Editor at White Birch Media Group, where I created video content for YouTube and short video platforms. Alongside my time at King’s, I was also part of their Men’s Volleyball team, which led me to coach high schools and clubs in the surrounding area.
I am passionate about anything and everything "art", and I am always eager to learn new skills and techniques, and to collaborate with other creative professionals. As a Visual Designer, I create graphic design ads for various clients and website design layouts, using my expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and web design. I enjoy working with different styles and formats, and delivering high-quality and engaging visual content that meets the needs and expectations of the customers.
